Historical Fiction Friday: Rebirth of the 1920s

The 1920s are back! A few posts back I mentioned that Anna Godbersen has a new series coming out and that it takes place during the 1920s. Well, she isn't the only one. Lila Fine has(what I believe is a series) coming out as well. The first book in the series is Vixen. Libba Bray author of A Great and Terrible Beauty has signed a new deal for a supernatural 1920s series(3 books? I've heard 4 also) called The Diviners(old news but I'm posting it anyway). I'm thrilled. Going Bovine wasn't my type of book so I'm excited she is going back to what she does best. And of course there is Bright Young Things by Anna Godbersen, which is the first book to hit the shelves showcasing this new rockin' trend.

As someone who loves historical fiction and who is also wild about the 1920s I can't wait for these novels!

Release Dates:
Bright Young Things October 12, 2010
Vixen December 14, 2010
The Diviners Fall 2012

I'm looking forward to them as well. Maybe this will mean there will be more historical fiction for teens. That would be great!
